Once the domain is registered
All Colombian domain names registered with us are stored on our international server. Domains registered with us are automatically provided with their own under-construction page - this notifies potential registrants that the name has been acquired and is now registered. The under-construction page is offered free of charge and may be used indefinitely.
It is possible for Web and/or Mail forwarding to be provided for Colombian domains.

Background
The Internet Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) for Colombia is .co. It has been managed by .CO Internet since 2009 when the company won a Bid process during the end of the year, run by the Colombian Government.
From July 2010, it will be possible for anyone to register for a .co domain name, Colombian residence will not be necessary. It will be given on a 'first come, first served' basis for the first-level .co, and the second-level .com.co, .net.co and .nom.co. This eliminates any potential disputes between two parties.
- edu.co : Only Educational entities that are recognised by the Minister of Education in Colombia can register under this domain name.
- .gov.co : Only Government entities within Colombia can register under this domain name.
- .mil.co : Only those part of the Military Force within Colombia can register under this domain name.
- .org.co : Only non-commercial organizations based within Colombia can register under this domain name.
Certain criteria must be met when registering for domain names under the ccTLD .co. These are as follows:
- Letters of the Roman Alphabet (a-z) can be used.
- Digits 0-9 can be used.
- A hyphen (-) can be used. It must not be the first or last character of the domain name.
- Spaces are not acceptable.
- The maximum amount of characters in a domain name is 63, yet 24 is recommended for practical reasons.
