Once the domain is registered
All Russian domain names registered with us are stored on our international server. Domains registered with us are automatically provided with their own under-construction page - this notifies potential registrants that the name has been acquired and is now registered. The under-construction page is offered free of charge and may be used indefinitely.
It is possible for Web and/or Mail forwarding to be provided for Russian domains.
Domain transfer/release fees are charged are by a majority of registrars, but BB Online make no charge to transfer a domain to another Russian domain name registrar.

.ru is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Russian Federation introduced on April 7, 1994.
The control of ".ru" is assigned to the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN). However, since 14 March 2005 registry operations for registrations directly under ".ru" are being performed by RU-CENTER while RIPN carries out registry operations for third-level domain names under ".com.ru", ".net.ru", ".org.ru" & ".pp.ru".
Registration of second level domain names in RU is available only through accredited registrars.
Coordination Center for TLD RU does not perform registrar's functions.
Registration policy is based on first-call first-served principle.
There are no limitations on residence; individuals are allowed to register domain names under RU. Domain names are registered for a period of one year. To keep domain name for the following year pass re-registration procedure.

Domain name should be 2-64 characters long, should not start or end with hyphen, 2 consequent hyphens are not allowed.
The registration of obscene words is also banned.
